About Me

Samuel Baquero, Frontend Web Developer
I'm a developer who doesn't just write functional code, but understands the systems behind it. I enjoy building applications with more complex logic, things that go beyond surface-level UI and require real thinking under the hood. While I work primarily on the frontend, I write code I fully understand from architecture down to implementation, and I'm comfortable stepping outside my core stack to solve problems wherever they appear.
How I Think
I approach development with a focus on structure, clarity, and understanding. Before building, I like to define how things should work at a system level, so the end result is scalable, maintainable, and easy to reason about.
Structure First
I start by defining architecture and reusable patterns early, so I can avoid unnecessary work later and keep things consistent as projects grow.
Understand Deeply
I don't rely on black-box solutions. If I use something, I make sure I understand how it works, from high-level behavior down to underlying logic when needed.
Debugging By Isolation
When something breaks, I break the problem down. I isolate each part of the system step by step until the root cause becomes obvious.
Usable Over Flashy
I focus on building interfaces that are clear and user-friendly. My design supports the product, it doesn't distract from it.
Current Focus
I'm currently focused on freelance work, primarily building marketing websites and content-driven applications that are designed to convert and scale.
